Who We Are
We believe everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home. Through a vast network of volunteers, corporate sponsors, and sub-contractors, Rebuilding Together Petaluma provides critical home repairs to 200 clients per year. We also assist other nonprofit organizations with facility maintenance and repairs so they can dedicate their resources to helping our community.
Volunteers, you cannot realize how much you have touched my life. I sincerely appreciate all the help you have given me when you chose to volunteer at my house. I cannot believe that there are such nice people as yourselves who would give up a Saturday on your weekend to help someone you don’t even know.
What We Do
For 29 years, we have been repairing the homes of low-income neighbors in need. Our work covers the entire spectrum of home repair and accessibility modifications.
Sometimes it is replacing a water heater for a senior without hot water for months, or hiring an exterminator for a veteran with a rat infestation, or organizing volunteers to build a ramp for a disabled homeowner.
Whatever the need, we rely on a community of partners, local businesses, and 600 skilled and community volunteers to respond quickly and effectively.
How We Do It
We are able to provide these services, at no cost to the recipient, through the support of grants and donations, and with community participation from volunteers and local businesses. Much of the work is completed by neighbors who generously donate their time and talents to help out. These volunteers come from businesses, faith communities, construction teams, and service groups. Since 1997, Rebuilding Together Petaluma has brought joy to hundreds of homeowners. Here’s a quick look at our community impact.
